Accept payments through Web Store

How to set up payments for the Web Store and for quote documents

We use Stripe to collect payments from your customers. Stripe is a third-party payment processing service that is responsible for all financial transactions that occur between you, your customers and ToolBox.

To enable a checkout experience, a Stripe account needs to be configured correctly.

Activate the ToolBox Payments feature

You can activate payments by going to the settings tab and then to payments:

After you click on activate payments, you will be asked to accept the terms and fees related to payments:

Then you will be able to click on "Create Stripe account":

This will direct you to Stripe where you can establish your account and provide important details such as the bank account to which you wish to receive payouts. You can leave the process at any time and go back to it whenever you wish and all the data that you input will be saved.

If you need any help with the setup, please send us an email to support@tempustools.com and we can guide you through the process.

Enable the checkout session for Web Store

Once you're done with the process of creating your Stripe account, you will be able to activate or deactivate payments internally and for the Web Store:

  • Choose to show or hide the payment buttons on documents sent to your customer (quote, order confirmation, proforma invoice, or tax invoice).

  • Choose whether to enable a payment checkout portal on your Web Store.

Paying in the Web Store

Once everything is set, your customers will be able to pay via Stripe in the Web Store, after they upload their drawings and review their order, they'll be able to click on checkout:

Which will send them to Stripe to checkout, show them a preview of their parts and their prices and prompt them to input their payment information:

Once they click on pay you will receive your payment in your Stripe account and your customer will receive receipt email:

And they will arrive to a landing page confirming their payment:

Managing paid status manually

You can mark a quote as paid or unpaid:

Quotes that have been paid for via ToolBox Payments will automatically be set as Paid and unable to be changed back, but if you take payment for a quote outside of ToolBox Payments then this features lets you keep track if your quotes have been paid.
