Shipping options

For internal quotes generated in ToolBox, you can issue a quote for pickup or with one of several delivery charge options.

  • Pickup adds no charge to the quote, and directs your customers to pick the order up from your organisation's address.

  • ToolBox has several methods of charging delivery, detailed below, but in all cases it specifies the order will be delivered to your customer's delivery address.

  • If delivery is selected on an internal quote, it will in the first instance use the default pricing method (which can be set in settings, under the shipping tab), but can be altered to another method before the quote is issued.

For orders placed in the Web Store, at least one shipping option must be enabled (pickup or delivery), and if delivery is enabled, one method of charging the delivery fee (even if it is free of charge) must be specified.

Delivery pricing methods

  • Use ToolBox's smart shipping calculator to add a price to the quote

  • Direct the customer to pay a delivery provider directly (no charge added to the quote)

    • In the settings page, you can specify the provider you will use, or you can check an additional box to allow the customer to nominate a preferred delivery provider and their account number with that delivery provider.

  • Manual Charge

    • This option covers a range of different possibilities managed by the user, including offering delivery for free, adjusting part pricing to cover the costs, or manually adding a miscellaneous item to the quote that specifies the amount you want to charge for delivery.

    • For orders placed through the Web Store, you have the option of contacting a customer after an order has been placed to arrange and pay for delivery separately.
